My family and I started living in the Pergola District in November 2019. The ‘Pergolenviertel’ is located in Hamburg, Germany and about 1400 residential flats will be part to the district. This photo blog is about the experience of being one of the first residents in a new community built from scratch.

December 2019 Perspectives

December 2019 Perspectives

The Pergola District will develop like mad over the next few years. I always like to see images of things or people during a change process and I will try taking a bunch of pictures from (roughly..) the same spots  on a monthly basis. Building field 2B is our home and, therefore, will be the anchor of the pictures, definitely for the next few months. I shall try and keep to the same order of locations, starting at the District entrance at Hebebrandstraße, then making my way along Winterlindenweg. Plus perspectives from the Limaweg because I am at least once per day walking along that footpath with Barking and Forgetful. Whether the southern half of the Pergola District (i.e. development sites 7, 8, 9 & 10) will at some point be part to these pictures remains to be seen.
